Speak with ABM Leaders is an ongoing member benefit designed to create meaningful, small‑group conversations between ABM members and ABM leadership.

Each session focuses on a different topic shaping the future of breastfeeding and lactation medicine—offering space for dialogue, shared learning, and collective insight.

September Focus: How Did You Recognize Breastfeeding During August?

World Breastfeeding Week and National Breastfeeding Month provide opportunities to raise awareness, celebrate successes, support families, and advance breastfeeding and lactation medicine in communities around the world.

ABM invites members to join an open, interactive conversation with ABM President Julie Ware and fellow members to share how you recognized and promoted breastfeeding during August. Whether you organized an educational activity, participated in community outreach, celebrated colleagues, advocated for policy change, shared resources, or found meaningful ways to support families, we want to hear your experiences.

Join us to discuss:

  • Activities and events that took place in your community or organization
  • Creative ideas that engaged patients, colleagues, or the public
  • Lessons learned and unexpected successes
  • Challenges encountered and opportunities for future growth
  • Ways ABM members can continue to support one another throughout the year

Date: September 1, 2026, 7:00 - 8:00PM CDT (UTC-5)

Audience: ABM Current Members Only
