ABM’s educational programming extends far beyond the Annual International Meeting.

The Grand Rounds Webinar Committee helps shape the ABM Grand Rounds series, delivering timely, evidence-based education to clinicians and health professionals worldwide. This is an opportunity to contribute to ongoing learning in breastfeeding and lactation medicine and help ensure that educational content remains relevant, practical, and impactful.

About the Role

The Grand Rounds Webinar Committee is responsible for planning and delivering the ABM webinar series.

Committee members work collaboratively to:

  • Identify timely and relevant educational topics
  • Recommend and recruit speakers and faculty
  • Contribute to the development of the webinar program schedule
  • Support alignment of content with ABM’s educational mission and standards

The webinar series serves as an ongoing educational platform that supports clinicians with accessible, high-quality learning throughout the year.

What You’ll Contribute

As a committee member, you will:

  • Contribute ideas for webinar topics and themes
  • Identify and help engage expert speakers
  • Participate in planning discussions and program development
  • Support speaker outreach and coordination
  • Moderate webinar sessions and facilitate discussion
  • Engage with learners through post-webinar community discussions as appropriate

Who Should Apply

We are seeking medical doctor members who:

  • Have an interest in education and professional development
  • Bring expertise in clinical practice, research, or teaching
  • Are comfortable engaging with faculty and facilitating discussions
  • Are collaborative and responsive in a team-based environment
  • Are interested in advancing continuing education in breastfeeding and lactation medicine

Time Commitment

  • Participation in committee meetings held periodically throughout the year

  • Involvement in planning discussions and speaker coordination

  • Moderation of one or more webinar sessions annually

  • Committee term: Two-year term, with the option to serve one additional two-year term for a maximum of four consecutive years

  • Terms begin and end on the final day of the ABM Annual International Meeting

The committee works on an annual planning cycle with ongoing engagement to support program delivery and improvement.
