Volunteer Selection

ABM strives to build volunteer groups that reflect the diversity of its global membership and welcomes applications from individuals with a wide range of experiences, perspectives, geographic locations, and professional backgrounds.

Volunteer selections are made based on the needs of each group and may consider factors such as experience, expertise, professional background, geographic representation, and committee or task force composition.

Service Terms

Committee and SIG appointments are made for defined terms that vary by volunteer opportunity.

Unless otherwise noted, committee and SIG service terms begin and end on the final day of the ABM Annual International Meeting. Specific term lengths, eligibility requirements, and expectations are outlined on each volunteer opportunity page.

Task force appointments are generally tied to the duration of the project or initiative they are established to support.
