For over 30 years, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine has convened physicians and health professionals from around the world to advance evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation medicine. We invite you to share your work and be part of this global exchange.
Submission Categories
ABM welcomes submissions in the following categories:
Poster Abstracts Original research, medical education initiatives, community programs, or clinical experiences in breastfeeding and lactation medicine.
Clinical Case Presentations (Oral) Interesting, unusual, complex, or controversial cases that offer clinical insight and stimulate discussion.

Symposia Submissions Coming Soon
In addition to abstracts, ABM will soon open a Call for Symposia. Symposia are designed as in‑depth, thematic sessions that explore timely topics through multiple voices, foster dialogue, and advance clinical and scientific understanding.
If you are considering organizing a symposium, now is a great time to begin developing ideas and connecting with potential co‑presenters. Full details will be shared when the call opens.

Who Should Submit
Submissions are welcome from physicians, medical students, post-graduate trainees, and healthcare professionals, including RNs, RDs, IBCLCs, and public health professionals. ABM membership is not required to submit.
Ethics, Disclosures, and WHO Code Compliance
ABM is committed to transparent, evidence-based education and to upholding the WHO International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes. All presenters and co-presenters must complete required disclosure forms at the time of submission. Submissions that do not meet disclosure or eligibility requirements will not be reviewed.
Important: Prior to submitting, all applicants should carefully review the Ethics, Disclosure, and WHO Code Compliance guidelines in the submission system to understand eligibility requirements and the circumstances under which individuals may be excluded from abstract submission or selection.
An AACME and IBCLE disclosure form must be submitted by all abstract authors and presenters to be considered.
