31st Annual International Meeting

October 13-15, 2026 | Toronto, Canada

For over 30 years, the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine has convened physicians and health professionals from around the world to advance evidence-based breastfeeding and lactation medicine. We invite you to share your work and be part of this global exchange.

Submission Categories

ABM welcomes submissions in the following categories:

  • Poster Abstracts
Original research, medical education initiatives, community programs, or clinical experiences in breastfeeding and lactation medicine.

  • Clinical Case Presentations (Oral)
Interesting, unusual, complex, or controversial cases that offer clinical insight and stimulate discussion.

Full submission guidelines, formats, and requirements are available in the abstracts submission system.

Symposia Submissions Coming Soon

In addition to abstracts, ABM will soon open a Call for Symposia. Symposia are designed as in‑depth, thematic sessions that explore timely topics through multiple voices, foster dialogue, and advance clinical and scientific understanding.

If you are considering organizing a symposium, now is a great time to begin developing ideas and connecting with potential co‑presenters. Full details will be shared when the call opens.

How to Create a Dynamic Poster Presentation

Preparing a poster can feel daunting—especially if it’s your first time submitting an abstract. In this on‑demand session from the ABM Leadership Academy, Dr. Elaine Hart walks you through how to develop a clear, engaging, and visually effective poster for presentation. Drawing on real-world examples, she shares practical tips to help you tell your story, highlight your key findings, and present your work with confidence.
